We are happy to report that the congregations in Manaring and Fugu Sur are doing well and continuing to serve actively in the Lord’s vineyard. Thank you so much for your continued financial support, encouragement, and prayers.
During September, we continued our ministry through worship services, home Bible studies, visitations, and opportunities to encourage our brethren in the faith.
Worship Services and Bible Studies
We held our regular Sunday worship services in both congregations throughout the month, and we were blessed with good attendance. Our lessons covered several important topics, including “What Does the Lord Expect of His Church?” (Revelation 17:14; James 4:7; Ephesians 5:27), “How to Become a Christian and Live as a Christian” (Acts 2:37–38; Ephesians 4:25–32), “The Promise to Abraham and Our Inheritance Through Christ” (Genesis 12:1–4; Galatians 3:26–29), and “Is One Religion as Good as Another?” (Matthew 7:21–23).
We also had several opportunities to strengthen our brethren through home Bible studies. Brother Bem Banggawan, a preacher in Sucbot, Tabuk City, invited us to conduct a Bible study with a family. We also held Bible studies in several homes in Manaring and Fugu Sur. These gatherings allowed us to share God’s Word and encourage the families in their faith.
In addition, we shared the saving power of the Gospel with other our brethren in Barangay San Vicente, Tumauini, Isabela, using Mark 16:15–16 and Romans 1:16. We are thankful for every opportunity to share the message of salvation and edify others in the Lord.
Visitation and Fellowship
My wife and I continued visiting brethren in several communities, including Barangay Arcon and Fugu Sur. We also visited others suffering various ailments and diseases. We prayed for their health and well-being and encouraged them during these difficult times. Please remember them in your prayers.
We were also invited to thanksgiving services and family gatherings throughout the month. On September 1, we attended a thanksgiving service in Barangay Tuao, Cagayan, in celebration of a birthday. Later in the month, we held a thanksgiving service at our own home to celebrate three birthdays: my wife’s 40th birthday, my niece’s eighth birthday, and my sister-in-law’s 38th birthday. Brother Carlo Orpiano delivered a message on the importance of thanksgiving, and we enjoyed singing spiritual songs together.
We also attended the wake and burial of our neighbor, who passed away at an advanced age. On September 28, we visited our aunt in San Manuel, Isabela, to celebrate National Family Meal Day with her family. We are grateful for these opportunities to share fellowship and strengthen our relationships with family, friends, and our community.
Personal Update
I also want to share that I was unwell with a severe case of the flu during the month. I visited the city health clinic for a checkup and stayed home for several days to recover. By God’s grace, we continued our ministry activities as we were able. Please continue to pray for us, our health, the congregations in Manaring and Fugu Sur, and the work of the Lord here.
Once again, my wife and I are deeply thankful for your continued financial support and prayers. Your generosity is a great blessing and helps us continue our daily lives and preaching ministry. May our Almighty God continue to bless and strengthen us all as we serve Him.
